Somewhere you can see live performances, play carnival games, a place that serves hot dogs, the kids can play children’s arts and crafts, and of course the annual parade. Many of the events I found offer these and more. The best fireworks in Houston for 4th of July are found in this list.
Many of the events have a variety of activities that end in a grand finale firework show.
With downtownโs skyline as its backdrop, Houstonโs premier greenbelt winds from Shepherd Drive on the west to Bagby Street on the East End. Eleanor Tinsley Park, located within this greenway (Taft-Sabine), is the site of major Downtown Houston festivals and events, including the cityโs Fourth of July Fireworks.
This year’s Freedom Over Texas will feature a unique non-profit component that joins forces with the Houston Food Bank to help fill an extraordinary demand in our regional community.
The event takes place at Eleanor Tinsley Park and Sam Houston Park located along Allen Parkway just west of downtown from 4 p.m. -10 p.m. General admissionย is $10 and children 5 and under are free.
Starting at 9 a.m. on July 4, spectators can enjoy the South County Fourth of July Parade. The 1.3-mile parade will make its way around The Woodlands passing through Market Street and by Town Green Park. The annual event features marching bands, fire engines, clowns, floats, a variety of activities, and more.

The Children’s Museum is celebrating before the fireworks. From story time with Captain America to a science demo, there’s activities for all types of kids. Entrance to the museum is $17 dollars for non-members.
Join the City of Nassau Bay as we celebrate Independence Day with fun-filled activities throughout the day!
A parade honoring Nassau Bayโs veterans will begin at 6 PM. You do not need to register to participate in the parade just please meet in the Gloria Dei Church parking lot to line up at 5:00 pm. Bring some water because it will be hot! There will be awards for โLil Firecrackerโ (kids only) โMost Patrioticโ, โOldest Veteranโ, โWagons and Wheelsโ (bikes and wagons), and Grand Champion. Finally, at 9 PM the celebration will end with a bang as we watch an incredible grand finale fireworks show over the lake! We look forward to celebrating with our community once again!
On July 4th, fromย 6 to 8 p.m., there will be a patriotic parade onย Seawall Boulevardย fromย 22nd Street to 45th Street. All participants will have a patriotic theme, and the parade ends with a spectacular fireworks display over the Gulf.
The fireworks show will get started near 37th Street and Seawall, lasting about 20 minutes from 9:15 pm to 9:45 pm.
