This blog has quotes about missing my Dad. I think the day my Dad died might have been the single worst day of my life. There is nothing like a daughter’s love for her father.

It hasn’t been a long time since he passed and even though I know he is in a better place my grieving process has been intense. He was a bright shining example of the greatest role model in patience and love. He was generous and saw no faults in those he loved. My dad was my math homework tutor and best road trip companion. He was my best friend and my biggest cheerleader. There is truly no love like a father’s love.

I am so blessed my dad was a strong foundation that our family tree grew roots around. Even after my profound loss I see his impact in the lives of my children and know he is still living through us. As Father’s Day approaches I find myself grieving him and the profound loss I am left with. Let yourself cry and let yourself heal at your own pace. The paths of men differ in their healing. There is no expiration date on grief. Only you can chart your new course and find a way to heal your broken spirit.
